Rocketeers aged 18 and up can enjoy high-altitude thrills with this impressive rocket.

Assembled Rocket

A presence commanding, high flier, the Estes QCC Explorer will give hours of building enjoyment.

Rocket and Equipment

Amazing heights of 1,225 feet can be reached with your completed QCC Explorer.
3, 2, 1, Lift Off!
A presence commanding, high flier, the Estes QCC Explorer is a design study on what a Hypersonic Cruise Missile may one day look like. The long slender air intakes along the body would not only supply air to the engine but provide lift while flying to its target. The kit features air intakes built up of laser cut wood and a plastic molded exhaust cone. Standing almost 3 feet tall, your QCC Explorer will float back into the atmosphere on a decorated 18 inch preassembled parachute. Looking for another building challenge? Blast Off to Learning Fun
In addition to the excitement and entertainment it provides, rocketry also has significant educational value. Model rockets transform kids into amateur rocket scientists, encouraging them to think about how the rockets work. Rocket building teaches kids the basics of propulsion, flight, and aerodynamics, and can help foster an early interest in science and engineering. A high degree of construction and finishing skills are required for the QCC Explorer. Quality Estes body tubes, laser cut wood fins, nose cone and waterslide decals make for hours of building enjoyment with this Skill Level 4 kit.

Mission Control
The QCC Explorer requires an Estes Porta-Pad E, E Launch Controller and Estes engines for the launch (not included). Estes C11-3, D12-5, E9-4 or E9-6 engines are recommended for all missions. Unless otherwise specified, all models require assembly. Tools, construction and finishing supplies sold separately. In order to launch, a launch system, model rocket engines, igniters, recovery wadding and four 'AA' alkaline batteries are required sold separately unless otherwise specified. Read all instructions before beginning. Make sure you have all parts and supplies required. Test fit all parts before applying glue. Sand as necessary for precision assembly. Product color and shape may vary. When launching, stand back as far as the launch controller cord will allow (30 feet). Rocketry is not intended for indoor use.
